Welcome to The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd!

The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd seeks to be a Christ-centered church, inspired by the Holy Spirit,
that reaches out in joyful community to welcome, value and love all God's children.
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd welcomes you!
As we await to begin construction on our new church building in early 2026, we are currently holding all worship services in the beautiful historic Chapel of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located at 208 Central Avenue in downtown Summerville.
Sunday service times for Holy Eucharist are 8:00AM (Rite I) and 10:30AM (Rite II). Midweek Eucharist is offered on Wednesday evenings at 5:15. All are welcome!
Christian Education for all ages is offered from September-May on Sunday mornings; classes for Adults are held in the Chapel at 9AM, and Children’s Christian Education (K-5th) is held during the 10:30 AM service in St. Luke's Children's Center. Professionally staffed nursery care (infants-pre-K) is provided during the 10:30 service year-round.
We invite you to learn more about us by exploring this website. Our history evolves from South Carolina's Colonial Era. Our worship is traditional and joyful. Our ministries focus on community outreach, social justice, and providing a firm Christian foundation for children, youth, and adults through formation and worship. We enjoy ample opportunities for fellowship through the year. We are a welcoming and inclusive parish to all!
